Usually not a big fan of hippie stuff, but Benoit Paille’s photos of the Rainbow Gathering are making want to find the nearest forest to run around naked in.

Just read a great piece by Jemima Kiss on finding the proper balance between digital connected time and real time. Was interested to learn that multi-tasking severely diminishes short term memory. I used to pride myself in my ability to multi-task. Perhaps I will reconsider this as an asset. Read full article here.

Infographics were created to make things simple. In their popularity, I feel like they’ve become a bit more complicated recently. Jose Duarte’s super simple handmade graphics are taking Inforgraphics back to their roots!

Erin Gets Better of the Day: A sweet Irish anti-homophobic bullying PSA produced in support of BeLonG To Youth Services’ annual Stand Up! LGBT Awareness Week.
Incidentally, Ireland’s first gay couple to be joined in civil partnership without an exemption will conduct their ceremony today.

Jessica Hagy’s website puts random, yet helpful and often funny tidbits into on index cards. Brilliance and simplicity at its best.
I went to a cat show today. I love cats and I’m not ashamed to admit it. In addition to seeing a bunch of cats I never knew existed, it was also really inspiring to see people so passionate about something. I know, I know, cat ladies are crazy and yes, some of them really do live up to that stereotype, but in a world full of growing apathy and impatience, it’s refreshing to see people care so much. Check the CFA Website for cat shows in your neighborhood.
I think I may have already talked about this blog before, but I just want to reiterate how much I love Jon Rafman’s 9-Eyes.
I didn’t know what the NFB was either, but somehow my random internet wanders led me to this site chock full of interactive content, random documentaries, and basically, hours of entertainment. Check it out here.
